Job Summary

We are a small local company looking to recruit a office administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing administrative support, and maintaining efficient office procedures which include scheduling of works, keeping in touch with our engineers, liaising with customers and suppliers.

This role requires excellent communication skills, to be able to multitask and keep up with ever changing situations.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment.
  • Perform clerical duties including data entry, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Handle financial transactions and bookkeeping using Xero
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Answer phone calls with professionalism and provide excellent phone etiquette.
  • Support team members with administrative tasks to enhance productivity.

Experience

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry.
  • A professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff and clients effectively.

Expected hours: 20-25 per week - £13.30 an hour.
