Air Source Heat Pumps
This Week we had our first Mitsubishi Ecodan Heat pump installation signed off and completed. This was the first time our company had been involved in the installation of an air to water air source heat pump set up. Our core business is fitting gas boilers to domestic properties in and around Milton Keynes. We have recently taken the decision to move into the world of heat pumps as we see them in the future plans of home heating.
A heat pump works by extracting heat energy from the air, even when it is cold outside and uses it to warm your home and hot water. A well designed heat pump system transfers around three times more energy into a property as heat then it uses to extract it. This makes heat pumps incredibly efficient and also has the potential to significantly lower fuel bills.
As a renewable energy source, they are a great option for households looking to reduce their carbon footprint and grants are available. To encourage the uptake of heat pumps and help reduce the costs, the Government offers financial incentives.
